After all, what is skin care in 2026 other than the desire for protection, purity, and an honest, individual, unique, simply beautiful and well-cared-for skin? But this is precisely where the paradox lies: while we cultivate perfection on the outside, scepticism is growing among consumers on the inside: sodium PCA, squalane, imidazolidinyl urea, NAD+, triclosan, or alpha hydroxy acids – as a customer, I am not a dermatologist, I am becoming increasingly critical of what I put on and let ‘in’ my skin. Are these substances in my skin lotion, and if so, what do they really do?
