As the first step in the routine, cleansing plays a critical role, making surfactant selection increasingly driven by skin compatibility and tolerability. Well-designed mild surfactant systems can effectively remove sebum, dirt and particulate matter while preserving the skin’s biological functions and healthy appearance. In this context, next-generation biosurfactants such as glycolipids offer a promising solution.
