For skin, longevity always means prolonging its healthy and youthful lifespan. This includes preserving skin’s endogenous ability to self-regenerate, maintaining its youthful qualities, feel and look. Although a number of different theories exist about the cell biological nature of aging, a consensus can be found in genomic instability being the primary, most important driver of aging. Genomic instability is a consequence of the reduced ability to adequately repair nuclear DNA with the passing of time. The resulting accumulation of DNA damage in skin cells stands at the basis of the detrimental cascade of biological processes which lead to the aged skin phenotype. Wrinkles appear; skin loses its firmness and tautness and starts to show uneven pigmentation. CLR developed a product on the basis of a careful extraction of sustainably grown organic soybeans. This active ingredient provides skin cells with the means to effectively repair nuclear DNA, leading to more energized skin with clearly higher self-regenerating capacities. This was shown in both in vitro and in vivo studies. As a result, skin becomes smoother, firmer and shows fewer wrinkles.
