Meaning – Margin – Momentum: “Skin care” is the main topic of this issue, and it takes us straight to the heart of the matter. After all, what is skin care in 2026 other than the desire for protection, purity, and an honest, individual, unique, simply beautiful and well-cared-for skin? But this is precisely where the paradox lies: while we cultivate perfection on the outside, scepticism is growing among consumers on the inside: sodium PCA, squalane, imidazolidinyl urea, NAD+, triclosan, or alpha hydroxy acids – as a customer, I am not a dermatologist, I am becoming increasingly critical of what I put on and let ‘in’ my skin. Are these substances in my skin lotion, and if so, what do they really do?
