With Cosphaderm® Panthenol natural 75 and Cosphaderm® Panthenol natural 98, Cosphatec is expanding its portfolio to include two 100 % natural variants of the well-established active ingredient D-panthenol. The new raw materials combine the well-known skin-soothing, moisturising and hair-care properties of D-panthenol with the requirements of modern natural cosmetics formulations, and are compliant with both COSMOS and NATRUE standards.
Panthenol, also known as provitamin B5, supports the skin barrier, increases the skin’s moisture content and helps to soothe irritated skin. At the same time, it improves moisture retention in the hair, strengthens the nail plate and hair fibre and provides shine and smoothness.The new panthenol variants are sustainably produced through biofermentation of glucose derived from maize. Cosphaderm® Panthenol natural 75 is available as a ready-to-use 75 % aqueous solution and is particularly easy to incorporate into cosmetic formulations. With its high active ingredient content, Cosphaderm® Panthenol natural 98 offers maximum flexibility for customised formulation concepts.
These new raw materials will be presented, amongst other venues, at the SEPAWA Congress in Berlin from 14 to 16 October 2026 at the Cosphatec booth A09-10. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the full portfolio and discuss potential applications with Cosphatec’s experts.
