Biesterfeld, one of the international leading distribution and service companies in the field of plastics, rubber, specialty chemicals and ingredients, and Hallstar, a manufacturer for industrial polymer and personal care ingredients, have expanded their partnership. With immediate effect, Biesterfeld has taken over the distribution the Active Naturals portfolio in Germany. The product range includes: Sytenol® A, Asyntra® D-Stress, BIOME Oléoactif®, BLISS Oléoactif®, BLUE Oléoactif®, BLUSH Oléoactif®, BRIGHT Oléoactif®, CLEAR Oléoactif®, DIAM Oléoactif®, EPILOBIUM Oléoactif®, FILL Oléoactif®, GROWTH Oléoactif®, LIFT Oléoactif®, LOOK Oléoactif®, OPUNTIA Oléoactif®, PLUMP Oléoactif®, PROPOLIS Oléoactif® TL, UBI Oléoactif®, HAIR Oléobooster®, LIFE Oléobooster®, TAN Oléobooster®, YOUTH Oléobooster®, Eurol® BT, Synastol® TC, Asyntra® SL, Synovea® HR, Synoxyl® AZ and VitaSynol® C. Together with the former Sytheon now part of Hallstar product range, which Biesterfeld already represents, customers now have access to Hallstar's complete portfolio of cosmetic active ingredients through a single distribution partner.
Easier access to complementary active ingredients
The expanded agreement gives cosmetic manufacturers and formulators access to a broader range of active ingredients from one source. Bringing the former Sytheon portfolio together with Hallstar's Active Naturals portfolio simplifies supplier management and provides one commercial and technical contact across the entire portfolio. Customers working with existing Sytheon ingredients also gain direct access to complementary technologies for new and ongoing formulation projects.
Portfolio addresses key formulation trends
Hallstar Active Naturals combines naturally derived and nature-inspired ingredients developed to address formulation priorities such as skin barrier support, microbiome care, hydration, healthy ageing, skin radiance, protection against environmental stressors and scalp care. It includes both oil- and water-soluble actives, while many of the oil-based ingredients are produced using Hallstar's patented Oléo-éco-extraction™ technology to preserve sensitive botanical compounds and support their performance in cosmetic formulations.
Building on an established collaboration
"Biesterfeld has successfully represented the former Sytheon portfolio in Germany and has built strong technical expertise in the market," says Barbara Mazzolari Regional Sales Manager Beauty & Personal Care from Hallstar. "Expanding our collaboration to include the Active Naturals portfolio provides customers with a seamless transition and a single point of contact for our complete active ingredients portfolio."
"Our customers value technical guidance just as much as access to high-quality ingredients," says Mayte Harder, Product Manager LifeSciences Personal Care & Cleaning at Biesterfeld. "By extending our partnership with Hallstar, we can now offer the complete active ingredients portfolio through one dedicated team. This creates continuity for existing projects and makes it easier for customers to identify complementary ingredients for new formulation concepts."
