The 15th Anniversary Edition of HPCI CEE – Home and Personal Care Ingredients Exhibition and Conference will take place on 23–24 September 2026 at EXPO XXI Warsaw.
This year’s edition will be the largest in the history of HPCI CEE, bringing together a record number of exhibitors, leading raw material manufacturers, distributors, researchers, formulation experts, technology providers, and cosmetic and household product manufacturers from across Central and Eastern Europe.
As part of the 2026 scientific programme, HPCI CEE invites submissions for the Poster Session dedicated to:
Biotech Beauty Ingredients – Cosmetic Ingredients Engineered by Biotechnology
The Poster Session will focus on cosmetic ingredients developed, obtained, modified, optimized, or inspired by biotechnology. We welcome contributions from academia, industry, start-ups, R&D laboratories, raw material suppliers, technology providers, and young researchers.
Suggested topics include:
- biotechnology-derived active ingredients for skin, hair, scalp, and personal care;
- fermentation-derived cosmetic ingredients;
- peptides, proteins, enzymes, polysaccharides, biosurfactants, postbiotics, and exopolysaccharides;
- plant cell culture, algae-based, microbial, and enzymatic technologies;
- precision fermentation and bioengineering of cosmetic raw materials;
- sustainable and circular approaches to ingredient development;
- biotechnological alternatives to animal-derived or non-sustainable ingredients;
- biotech ingredients for skin barrier support, anti-ageing, microbiome care, pigmentation control, hair repair, and scalp care;
- safety, efficacy, regulatory, analytical, and formulation aspects of biotech cosmetic ingredients;
- industrial case studies and academia–industry collaborations.
The Poster Session will provide an interactive platform for presenting research results, early-stage projects, technological concepts, product development studies, and collaborative initiatives. Submissions from young researchers, PhD students, academic teams, start-ups, and industry R&D groups are especially encouraged.
The 2026 edition is also marked by the new scientific partnership with the Faculty of Chemistry of the Warsaw University of Technology, in particular Chair of Drug and Cosmetics Biotechnology, further strengthening HPCI CEE as a platform connecting science and industry.
Authors are invited to submit poster abstracts in English.

All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee based on relevance to the session theme, scientific or technological quality, originality, clarity, and expected interest for the HPCI CEE audience.
Posters will be mounted on display boards measuring 950 × 2380 mm. The recommended maximum dimensions of the poster are 950 × 1380 mm. Submission deadline: 23.09.2026, 09:00.
The award for the Best Poster will be the publication of the winning poster in the renowned industry journal SOFW Journal https://sofw.com/en/sofw-journal/about-sofw-journal.
