HARKE GROUP, based in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany, acquired the Swedish Vendico Group, consisting of Vendico Chemical AB, Inventicon AB and Omni International AB.
Vendico Group represents several dozen leading strong manufacturers of chem-ical raw materials in the Personal Care, Home Care and I&I sectors as well as other applications. It has a broad range of chemicals that is directed towards many branches of the Nordic chemical industry — with a strong foothold on companies working with surface active applications.
Thorsten Harke, President of HARKE GROUP is convinced: “With the acquisition of Vendico Group we further strengthen our presence in the Nordic chemical distribution market. Vendico Group fits perfectly to HARKE GROUP. Not only concerning the regions it covers — Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland and the Baltic region. But also from its product range and the principals it represents, of which many had been cooperating with HARKE GROUP before already. By combining the two company groups we can now offer an even better coverage and service to our customers and principals throughout Europe and Asia.”
Anders Håkansson, Vendico Group’s Managing Director adds: “HARKE GROUP is an excellent future owner of Vendico Group. Being a family business like Vendico Group, its business strategy and market approach are very similar, granting a seamless continuity and increased service in the future, both for our long-years customers and principals, as well as for our staff.”
